Hairdressing salon for Stockbridge

A LUXURIOUS hair salon is hoping to bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to Stockbridge as it opens in the High Street on July 1.

Viva Hair Boutique will open its doors and offer residents a personal hairdressing experience, according to owners Julie Waters and Kevin Deverill.

The pair, from Salisbury, say that the salon will focus on providing a personal service and not the "conveyor belt hairdressing experience".

Mr Deverill, 29, said he jumped at the chance to take on the building in Stockbridge, which was a newsagents for 30 years and before that a tearoom and grocers. He said: "Property in Stockbridge doesn't come up very often so I was really excited to get it."

He and Mrs Waters have given the building a £200,000 revamp and the salon is now a mix between old and new, as the medieval building has been given a contemporary look.

A champagne launch party will be held at the salon this Saturday (June 21) and the salon will open to the public on July 1. From that day, anyone is welcome to go and take a look or make an appointment.
